Market Rasen

The Racecourse

Market Rasen consists of three principal enclosures, each of which is designed to provide the visitor with a unique racing experience. The County Enclosure is the most popular. On a sunny afternoon, visitors will be provided with a stunning view of the course.

In addition, they will be able to make use of the Enclosure’s many facilities. These include the Brocklesby Suite Restaurant and Bar, which is well-known for its delicious a la carte dishes. Other facilities include County Bar and the Green Champagne & Seafood Bar. Here, champagne may be bought at a very competitive price of £19.99 per bottle. However, please note that food may only be consumed in these restaurants and in the Family Enclosure and Picnic Car Park.

The Tattersalls Enclosure provides a good view of the Parade Rings and the Winners’ Enclosure. If you’d like to make a bet on a particular race, you’ll be able to find race bookmakers here. The Family Enclosure is located furthest away from the key podiums such as the Winners’ Enclosure.

Nevertheless, the enclosure does offer good opportunities for race viewing. A number of bookmakers are also located in this arena. Ticket Information

Ticket prices vary depending on the race you wish to attend and where you’d like to sit. Children under the age of 10 can receive free entry into all races. It is also possible to obtain cheaper tickets by booking as a group, but be sure to book in advance as seats are limited and often in great demand.

For an additional fee it is possible to book one of Market Rasen’s package tickets. Depending on the package you choose, you could be treated to complementary wine and lunch.

Group Bookings

In order to make a group booking, your party must consist of at least 15 people. Costs listed below are per individual. In each case you will receive a free ‘badge’ or ticket for every 15 bookings that are made.

Travel

Market Rasen is located just outside the small town from which it receives its name. The course is a short distance away from both Lincoln and Grimsby.

By Road

Market Rasen is easily accessible by car. Free parking is available for disabled visitors and within the Main Car Park. Picnic car park spaces are available for the fee stated above.

By Air

If you would like to fly into the vicinity, there are a number of ways available. Fixed wing planes may land at Wickenby Air Field, which is located 5 miles southeast of the racecourse. If you’re flying in from further out, Humberside Airport is located some 20 miles away. Helicopter landings may be arranged by contacting the racecourse office at the number given below.
